Strandkurhaus in Waging am See

Very friendly service and the food was almost always delicious. Once we had to wait a long time with the family. And the citizens were unfortunately not a hit either. But the normal menu can be recommended.

The food is good and served quickly, the service very friendly, you are accompanied to the table, we have been there a few times and always very satisfied

A very well-kept campsite, free choice of space on the open meadow, very clean sanitary facilities, friendly staff. There is delicious food, homemade in the small restaurant right on the lake (order in advance). The place is very suitable for dogs (not allowed on the lake). A short way, out into wide, open meadows and corn fields. Other lakes in the small wood can be easily reached on foot. Augsburg is 20 minutes away by bike, great bike paths along the Lech. The place is highly recommended.

We really like to eat here when we are at the campsite. Delicious food, very nice wait staff (not constantly changing, but you can recognize the people from previous years). The needs of the children are well catered for. We will be back. 😉

It's a shame, we wanted to order something, but a small event meant that the kitchen was unable to prepare two additional dishes. What is it like when there is a big event ..... The location, however, is great and invites you to linger. Unfortunately our stay is over, next time we try again. Location top. Food follows ...

Clean restaurant with brisk service. The food is ok too. Beer mats would prevent condensation from dripping onto clothing.

Food was good, especially the burgers, kudos here. Beautiful location on the lake. Wait staff at the table, service perfectly fine. Price-performance ratio for the location on the lake is also okay. Unfortunately, what is negative is the reception and the allocation of seats to the evening meal times by a younger gentleman. We had reserved, were there early and, after a rather cool reception, were shown to a table in the middle by the said gentleman. Although many nice tables were free on the lake terrace in the edge area. On a nice request that this would be our last evening and whether we weren't allowed to sit down there came the statement that these were desired and reserved for others, that there was nothing to be done. During our stay from 5:15 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., however, 2-3 nice tables on the edge of the lake remained free for the entire time. We don't know why we weren't given any of these tables when asked. You should be greeted politely and nicely as a guest and, if possible, respond to your wishes and unfortunately this was absolutely not the case! 3 stars for the nice service at the table and the really good burgers. Unfortunately 0 stars for the unqualified and extremely cool reception, if it had fit, 5 stars would have been there!

Reservation is currently required. You get the table for 1.5 hours. The menu has been limited, but there is a good selection. The food was good and plentiful.

The location is fantastic, as it is located directly on Lake Waginger - see below. Photos. BUT service very unfriendly. We waited 5 minutes at the entrance, as a seat has been allocated due to Corona. During this time 4 more families have already been waiting. Because still none of the staff has shown up, a family is simply in. They then chose the most beautiful place. Of course we followed suit and sat on the terrace. A waitress arrived immediately (you were very quickly there 😠) and briskly told us to go because the table was reserved (there was no sign on it!). When we referred to the other 8 free tables, it was said that these were also reserved. Actually we wanted to go after the theater and the reference to the "cheeky" approach of the family, which had simply pushed ahead. But since the kids were really hungry, we stayed right at the edge, we found a free place there (even without the help of the waitress). After we had waited a long time for the order and then the food (where the staff was still very unfriendly), we had the "coronation". Our little one only wanted a slice of meat loaf (the menu says it costs € 9.90 with fried egg and potato salad), so we had ordered it. "Just one slice, please". Then three slices came and the full price was collected, although we intervened immediately because we knew that he would never eat all of that. Despite the objections, we had to pay in full and that's really unfair. Customer friendliness looks different in many ways! We are very disappointed. A little more politeness, courtesy and responsiveness to customer needs would have been appropriate. But the Strandkurhaus probably doesn't need that, as the shop is often fully booked. A shame and not to be recommended.

Very pleasant restaurant. Everything well organized, especially because of Corona. Super nice staff. Food delicious. Prices are ok. Were there three times on vacation and it was always great.

Nice service, food came quickly and was very tasty. Very moderate prices. Seldom eaten so well. We'll definitely be back, we're still here for 5 days. Clear recommendation 👍👍👍

Delicious meal. Very well organized and the staff, especially our waitress, was very friendly and tried very hard even under stress. Even if there are the prescribed reservation times, you have enough time to eat and enjoy.

Very good sundae, the ice cream is very creamy and tastes very good too. You can sit comfortably on the lake terrace with a fantastic view

Just great! Despite the pandemic and the associated requirements, everything went smoothly! The staff were all very nice and the food / drink was excellent, as always. Highly recommended, especially on the beautiful summer evenings.

Corona regulations super solved. Reserve a table, then you have no stress. Food and service great. Great view of the lake from the terrace 😁. Price is reasonable. Always happy.

Personally I am not used to excellent food but this is almost UNACCEPTABLE. The food might look good but don’t let that fool you. It is absolutely horrifying and the vegetables as well as all of the potatoes were frozen. The meat was almost tasteless and completely drunk into a sauce which believed to be mushroom sauce but was more likely to be a cream massacre. The service was completely messed up too, we didn’t get the menu and had to get it ourselves. After doing so we didn’t manage to even order drinks within 20 minutes. After asking twice if we could order a fairly friendly waiter (THAT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO SERVE US) took our order. Funnily enough the waiter was completely clueless and arrived 5 minutes later asking if we would like to order something. On a positive note the water was good and the beer was too. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT GO HERE AND AVOID

Child friendly, delicious, affordable Children: For children there is a very generous play area in the restaurant. We were 4 adults with 4 children .. and the kids were during the waiting time to eat and afterwards completely busy. The children's menu was also on site. The food came quickly and was delicious. A very balanced menu with great dishes. From vegetarian to various salads to hearty everything was there. The staff was always friendly and humorous. The price performance is completely adequate. A nice evening with delicious food. Thank you
